Kayl's Brownie Girl Scout troop participated (along with a whole lot of scout troops) in the Vancouver Veteran's Day Parade. They were singing this song before it started...
Everywhere we go... Everywhere we go...
People want to know.... People want to know....
Who we are.... Who we are....
So we tell them..... So we tell them.....
We are the Girl Scouts, Mighty Mighty Girl Scouts!!!
Here they're getting ready for the parade to start.
The Parade starts!
In march the colors...
...and a Scottish bagpipe group...
...with the pipes - of, course!
The first of many, many veterans groups.
Another veteran group
There we several active and reserve groups as well.
Looking sharp!
There were a few reenaction groups, like these "Buffalo Soldiers".
The Grand Marshal rides in style!
Sean liked this train.
This was a cool presentation of fallen soldiers in the recent conflicts.
The Fire Cadets came by - with candy!
And lots and lots of fire trucks...
...both new and old!
Just as the girls get ready to go - the rain starts!
Rain or no rain - bands march!
And so do the soldiers...
...and the girls! (notice Kayl's clear plastic parka, right there in the middle?)
Passing the review stand with all the dignitaries
And then the rain really picked up...
...and it got heavier, and heavier...
...until it was really pouring!!
Still, the girls toughed it out, and completed the parade.
We're very proud of our little scout!!
