How the West Was Flung

There's an annual letterboxing event up here in the northwest - the "Spring Flinger". We were too new to letterboxing last year to know about it or go, but this year we went.

"Buppsters" (her 'trail' name) and pals getting things set up.

We hadn't even gotten all out of the car before a special "cootie" was added - let the games begin!

Mary stamping us into the special cootie...

Kayl getting us started on a few exchanges.

Is that a cootie hanging from your pocket?

Sean making friends.

The whole lot of us heading out on the trail...

...the "Trail of the Deer", to be exact.

It was a nice trail.

A letterboxer there has a special stamp you can get if you lick a banana slug...

Eeewwww!!!

The kids found a very cool salamander.

The adults found some very cool stamps!

Some times the trail was easy...

Some times it wasn't!
