a mini-Mini-Meet

We went to the "WA Meet & Greet", and met some great new letterboxers! Although it was a small gathering (just us and them), it was a lot of fun, and we had a great time. They had planted a series of boxes to be found, and meeting new 'boxer friends is always cool.

First came some exchanges with "offonatangent".


Then some BBQ and playing with the dog.


The kids decided to have a pretend campfire.


After exchanges and lunch, off we went to do some 'boxing!


The lake and park are pretty nice.

We saw some cool dragonflies on a bush.


And a great butterfly in the grass.


All in all, it was a fun mini-gathering!



For fun, we planted a box for them to find: "The Lion's Pride" I knew from my research that the local Lion's club had a part in creating some of the elements of this wonderful urban lake park, but had no idea we'd find the perfect spot for this carve - yet we did.

After we left the park, we decided to stop on the way home and get a couple more boxes - after all, Sean was only a couple 'boxes away from 200...

This was a cool spot, and more Lewis & Clark trivia!


According to the kiddos, the end to any great letterboxing day is at a park playing.
