1) The re-planting of one of my letterboxes in its new home;
2) Riding 'Thomas the Tank Engine' at Mt. Hood Railway; and
3) Meeting up with our letterboxing friend "Mystic Dreamer" & her kids for some 'boxing!
After a very fun planting up past The Dalles, the Hildreth's not only treated us to a wonderful time at their place, but joined us for the train ride. (Kayl decided she'd rather spend time with their daughter, and gave her spot on the train to their son, Christopher, who's just as much a Thomas fan as Sean is.) Afterward, Wendy took us around town to find a few local boxes, including several of hers.
Our first box took us past this really cool fountain.
We rarely get a family pic on outings - thanks Wendy!
Sean and Christopher took the lead...
...to a really cool 'secret garden'.
Then the kids had some fun a the river.
After a while, they found a playground to hang out in while the adults 'boxed.
Some cool boxes by another river.
Just having fun.
Look at that smile!
After we had 'boxed for a couple hours in town, the Hildreth's caravanned down the gorge with us to get a few more. It was an incredibly fun weekend!
We took the old highway - recommended for everyone!
Horsetail Falls is fantastic!
Wendy and her kids at the lodge.
Kayl is starting to take some pictures herself...
Stampin' in at one of the oldest letterboxes around.
Multnomah Falls is always worth the stop!
We hiked up to the bridge, but were running out of time, and had to call it a day.
